Hello my name is Ice717. I have playing magic since the beginning of time, or at least since Ice Age. I was too young back then to truly grasp how intricate Magic was and took a Hiatus for about 4 years. I got back into it around Time Spiral block and have been following this site ever sense. I got a buddy of mine into Magic and we love drafting so what better to give back to the drafting community than submit to this site. I would like to consider myself a decent drafter, I make more mistakes about power of cards over sending signals and reading signals. Hey all! Welcome to another edition of drafting 4-3-2-2 with Psychotronic. I'm submitting this draft not because it's an example of great skill, or because interesting things happened during the actual draft, but because the terrible pile I assembled still performed stunningly well for me. I've not played mtgo for a while, but this is an 4-3-2-2 ACR draft I did back in September. I just got back into drafting today -- that draft might appear here later. But this is probably the most exciting draft I've done in a while. I decided to go all-in Esper passing good Jund cards throughout pack 1, and wound up getting the hookup later. (more...)

Hey everyone, I casually read through these drafts every day, and they are a delight for sure. Though not as good as actual draft videos, such as on mtgovideos.com, its still really easy to follow the drafts when there are actual card pictures. I find that when I try to read through a draftcap in text I fall asleep, so this is great. As a lot of people are starting to feel, Zendikar is getting very stale. So I am submitting an M10 draft instead. (more...)

Hello and Happy New Year to everyone. KLT here submitting my second draft to this site (first one was presented on December 19 if you want to check it out). Since then I have done a number of ZEN and one M10 draft, and have generally done well. The one thing I have continued to notice is the significant variation in how my drafts go. Some of them I choose the right colors and get an obviously great deck without even breaking a sweat, and others...well, not so much. But at least up to now, at the end of each draft I at least had a pretty good idea of, 1) the quality of the deck I drafted and how it would perform, and 2) why the deck turned out the way it did. Hi, everybody. I just got back into Magic about a month ago after a several-year absence. I've been trying to draft Zendikar a bit, and hoo, it's been tough. After my initial smattering of beginner's luck, I did a little research on the format - watching the LSV videos, reading some articles, etc. - and my game promptly went down the tubes. I've been losing draft after draft in round 1, sometimes due to errors in play, but mostly because my deck is always really, really terrible. So, shall I give up? No! There's a website called "Draft Better" sitting right here! Why not take advantage of this convenient/friendly resource/community? (more...)

Hey guys, Xaoslegend here for a 4322 ACR draft report. I was really happy with the feedback I got from my last article, I even got several pm's in game after that one from people expressing support, and that was great. Since I talked about my anger management problem in the last article I've managed to keep myself from insulting anyone else thus far except for one guy who was being a real jerk himself, not that that's a good excuse. So I've played a few acr drafts since then and we don't see nearly enough draft reports on that format so I figured I'd talk about one of them since it'll be a good format to draft for some time.
